Welcome to the next week in the March Wellness series! I hope the previous post about the mind was helpful and prepared you for this weeks post! As previously discussed, we are working on body positivity. Last week's workbook only consisted of the first section so this week, I added the next section so you can stay focused.
In the updated book, I added in the Thought Process sections for the body, a section on how to create body positive affirmations, and a section for how to create a vision board for your goals. The point of this section is to really help you focus on how your body feels and how you want it to feel. It's about developing healthy habits going forward and getting your body into alignment with the mind and spirit. Make sure you re-download the workbook since it has been updated to include section 2!

Proper care of the body can so hard when we are running around for work, family, and play so here a few tips on how to give your body the proper care it deserves!
Fuel
Make sure you are fueling your body by hydrating and eating more mindfully. You should be drinking at least half of your body weight in water. If you have trouble with water intake, then infuse it with fruit slices or start by drinking carbonated water. Eliminate sugary drinks like soda and pay attention to sugar content in juices. You should also provide your body with veggies, fruits, healthy fats, and lean meat (if that's your thing). When we eat junk food made with preservatives and sugars, our body gets confused and stores it fat pockets. When we eat leafy greens and healthier foods, our body can actually burn fat through the digestion process!

Take One
If you are not eating the proper nutrition for your body then you can offset that with vitamins. At least take a daily multi-vitamin. If you know that you are anemic, then you may want to take an iron supplement, or if you are indoors all day then you may want to take a vitamin-c or vitamin-d to counter balance. There are plenty of supplements that can help, just do your research, consult with your physician, and follow directions closely.

Rest Is Best
Getting the right amount of hours of sleep has the ability to reduce mental and physical stress on our bodies dramatically. It helps prevent extra cortisol, brain fog, fatigue, bad eating habits, and many diseases. When your body is tired, listen.

Take a breather
Practicing breathing exercises and meditation can have the same effects as rest. Taking a minute to clear your mind and focus on your breathing helps decrease stress, have gratitude, and get into alignment. Breathing exercises can also help calm you down when you are feeling overwhelmed or agitated.

Get Moving
Partaking in exercise helps promote endorphins to brain which has been proven to make you happier and more energetic. It can help heal your body and make your body stronger. If you are like me and hate working out, try yoga. I love the Tone It Up Girls plans Look at Tone It Up's Katrina's arms (love). It is just as effective in weight loss and body strengthening without the running and weight lifting. It also helps with improving focus and muscle memory. Going for a walk is also effective and gets you out into nature. If you love dancing then do that! My girls Britney and Joslyn Reese are hosting a Beyonce dance class in Colorado! How fun will that be! Check them out at FIT & NU!
Our body does so much to take care of us so we need to return the favor. Because you are what you believe, we will analyze the aspect of spiritual health next week. If you believe you can make positive changes for the sake of your health then you will!

Do it, with love!
