My favorite season is coming and already, things are starting to change. The weather is getting cooler (it is currently snowing in the summer here in Colorado), the leaves are starting to change color a bit, and I am ordering boots online for Fall. Fall is a time of letting things fall away, shedding what is not needed anymore and I am ready for it. This month's stone is perfect for making those transitions. It allows the possessor to see through illusions and remove obstacles, inspiring self-awareness and giving hope! It's also hard to take your eyes off of.

Known as the complement to the Moonstone, Labradorite helps you turn hopelessness into hope, dreams into reality, and draw in power of the divine feminine.
Labradorite has the power to help with spiritual awareness, balance auras, and enhance intuition. It is a great stone to keep around when going through transitions and changes. It helps get rid of fear, insecurities, and calms overactive minds. It also encourages new ideas, strengthens faith in the self, and trust in the universe.

Myths
According to the site Seattle Findings, "Labradorite is believed to have fallen from the Aurora Borealis (the Northern Lights). The Northern Lights were once trapped in rocks along the coast of Labrador. One Day, one of the ancestors (an Eskimo) struck a rock with his spear. The rock broke and many off the lights were set free, flying out into the sky- But some of the lights remained trapped in the stone. These stones were connected to ancient magical practices by many from that region. The native inhabitants of Labrador called the mineral "fire rock" or "firestone."
Care To clean your stone, use warm soapy water and a soft cloth. After washing, dry carefully. Avoid ultra-sonic cleaners to prevent cuts and fractures to the stone. Labradorite can get scratched so make sure you don't place it with other hard stones or you can individually wrap it for protection.
Even if you don't need to harness the powers or health benefits of the Labradorite, it is still a beautiful stone to have on display. It will definitely be a great conversation piece! This serves for jewelry pieces as well. If you are local to the Denver Metro area...The Gem and Mineral Show is this weekend (Sept. 11-15)! I highly recommend going! Due to COVID-19 however, they are not letting kids attend this year so find a babysitter if you plan on going! Send me some pics if you do and if I get the chance to go this year, I will post some on Instagram!
As always, enjoy this weekend!
With Love, Micole Elise
