5 Scary Good Cocktails for Halloween

If anyone read my last post, then you knew this one was coming! I promised to deliver 5 Halloween inspired cocktails for you guys so here we go!

The Black Heart

What it is:

A uniquely black colored vodka with a hint of fig.

How to make it:

>1/2 ounce of black vodka (Blavod Vodka)

>1/2 ounce of fig vodka (Figenza Vodka)

>1/2 ounce of Creme de Cassis

>Dash of Dry Vermouth

Combine ingredients with ice in a martini shaker and pour into a chilled martini glass. Cut a fig in half for a heart inspired garnish. Makes one drink.

Black Magic

What it is:

Black Vodka with a hint of lime and shimmer

How to make it:

>2.5 ounces of black vodka

>3/4 ounce of freshly squeezed lime juice (2/3 of 1 small lime)

>3/4 ounce of simple syrup

>Ice

>Wilton Edible Pear Dust in White (can be found in bakery aisle of craft store)

Add simple syrup, vodka, and lime juice into a martini shaker. Add ice to the liquid fill line and shake. Pour glitter into bottom of the glass and add cocktail mix. May add more glitter if you like!

The Blackberry Margarita

What it is:

A darker spin on the traditional Cuervo Margarita

How to make it:

>1 part Jose Cuervo Especial Silver

>3 part Red Jacket Blackcurrant Apple juice or blackberry juice

>1 part triple sec

> 1/2 cup crushed Ice

>Blackberries for garnish

>Black salt

Add tequila, juice, triple sec, and crushed ice to a martini shaker and shake. Add black salt to rim of the glass and pour in cocktail mix. Use a cute blackberry covered toothpick or a cupcake topper (like the bat) to add some flair.

Poisoned Apple Cider Cocktail

What it is:

A beautiful spiced and spiked apple cider

How to make it:

>4 ounce apple cider

>1.5 ounce spiced rum

>1.5 ounce pomegranate juice

>3/4 ounce grenadine

>1/4 teaspoon of gold edible luster dust (found HERE)

Add ingredients and ice to a martini shaker and shake. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

The Spider Bite

What it is:

A white Russian with a creepy appeal or spiked vanilla boba!

How to make it (cocktail):

>1 part Kahlua Coffee Liqueur

>1 part Vanilla Vodka (Absolut)

>Crushed ice

>Spider Sac garnish

How to make it (spider sac garnish):

>1 cup of large pearl tapioca in white or black

>1-2 tablespoons of vanilla bean paste

Follow directions on package for making tapioca. Once the tapioca is made, add in vanilla bean paste to coat the pearls.

Pick the cocktail glass full of crushed ice and pour the Kahlua and vodka over the ice. Use a spoon to add the spider sac garnish to the top of the drink. For a darker side to this cocktail, go HERE!
