Block It All In!

So Summer is officially done but maybe you're not ready to take a full dive into deeper Fall colors like I am. No worries, you can always transition into Fall colors with the color block method. For those who have been sporting rich Merlot notes (and not just in your wine glass), there's something for you too! Try monochrome looks for a more bold approach!

Five For the Transition

1. Pull out all those beloved maxi dresses and add pops of color with accessories like jackets, handbags, or shoes!

2. An easy look to pull off at work or on the street. Here Zendaya uses casual suiting pieces that are in the same color category and pairs it with a brighter hue button up shirt and statement pumps.

3. What's easier than pairing a color blocked top with a solid bold bottom? Solange always plays with color and is not afraid to pair bright colors or patterns together!

4. Pair a summer chiffon maxi or midi skirt with a different color knit sweater and handbag. I personally would love to do a golden lime skirt with a butter colored sweater!

5. Recycle that sweater and pair it with the bold trousers from one of the previous looks! Pair it with a pattern scarf for impact. Also, tucking in your sweater is the new hot trend!

Five for the Bold and Ready

1. This is a perfect time to pull out that wool coat and pair it with similar shades for an easy work outfit or meeting the girls for drinks. Think Sex and the City!

2. Use texture to add dimension and variation! Below, the model sports thin knits with a velvet suit, a wool scarf, and a metallic tonal pump. Even though the items are the same shade, the textures help break it up so it's not overwhelming!

3. Looking for a more casual or comfy approach? The look below nails it! This is an outfit that can be worn with heels for work and Adidas for the weekend. The key to this look was the oversized wool scarf and a sporty knit skirt!

4. Pick a couple of the main trends and run with them! An oversized cape, a felt hat, a fuzzy knit, or this popular style of boot.

5. Last but not least, a simple solid dress that's amped up with a statement belt. Again the textures help provide dimension!
